Street Dance

Street Dance

This is a style of dance that you will see in pop videos, and is used by many commercial artists. Our classes begin with a warm-up, and cover technique, performance skills, combination exercises, choreography and challenging dance routines. Classes will develop students rhythm, co-ordination, balance, dynamics, flexibility and performance.

Beginners To Stage

Beginners To Stage

These classes have been designed specifically for younger members of the school, to engage them in their first lessons in performing arts. From ages three years upwards, students learn Street/Hip Hop/Modern dance and work on developing natural movement, drama and musical theatre. Classes also incorporate mime, games, storytelling, song and fun, pop and musical tunes. It is stimulating and fun, and a great introduction to the world of stage.

Theatre School

Theatre School

Weekend and after school combined Theatre Arts classes which cover Dance, Drama, Singing and Musical Theatre. Dance covers a warm up, technique and performance. Drama incorporates stage directions, technique and creativity. During singing classes, we aim to find your inner ability to sing with confidence within a group or solo performance. The vocal exercises taught are beneficial to both singing and drama. In musical theatre, students will learn to combine working with song, dance and movement.

These classes begin with a physical warm up and games to bring the group into focus. Throughout each term, a wide range of drama skills are taught and practiced; including mime, script work, stage directions, improvisation exercises and character development. Monologues, duologues and scripts are worked on, and the teacher will encourage, enhance and support the team as they learn and work together. LAMDA exam work will also be taught.

Ballet

Ballet

Ballet classes for young children from the age of 3 years. Basic positions and techniques in ballet are taught from the PTD syllabus. Classes also include storytelling through dance and movement. Children can enter exams from the age of 5 years.

LAMDA Exams in Drama, Verse & Prose & Musical Theatre. PTD Exam Work The Professional Teachers of Dancing is a forward thinking association that specialises in the Theatre Branches of Classical Ballet, Jazz, Modern Theatre Dance, Tap and Musical Theatre.
