30 years

As we enter the third decade, we are proud to say that our school has some of the most talented kids in the local area We strive to provide them with the best and opportunities to help them reach their full potential.

History

Est in 1989 Stage One began as a dance production group for young people, offering the community its first classes in Street Jazz. It was the pioneer in the area for street dance classes focused on creating a dance show. As the school flourished, its productions evolved in both style and theme.

Over the years, Stage One students have excelled in numerous competitions, earning spots on TV and stage. In 1996, Stage One presented its first original scripted production, ‘Trick Or Treat,’ at the Millfield Theatre. This marked the beginning of many more original productions, including ‘The Jesters Ball,’ ‘Club Kids,’ and ‘Lost in Wonderland.’ At Stage One, we encourage our students to cultivate their talents, confidence, and personalities through creativity and imagination, leading to many remarkable performances and achievements.

We are proud to see many of our students progress to prestigious London colleges such as RADA, LAMDA, and Italia Conti. We provide constant encouragement and guidance for those aspiring to enter the professional world of show business.

Stage One frequently receives requests to present students for auditions for professional and charity work in West End theatre productions, commercials, radio, television, modeling, summer seasons, pantomimes, and events. We cater to both dedicated students aiming for a career in Performing Arts and those who enjoy it as a hobby or for fitness. Our weekly schedule includes structured classes and workshops in Urban Street Dance/Hip Hop, Ballet, Drama, Musical Theatre, and preparation for PDT and LAMDA exams.

Stage One is truly ‘A great introduction to the World of Stage.’
