Caroline Airs - Principal

Caroline started the school in 1989, and has been involved in the many aspects of theatre from performing, through to working behind the scenes.

Since dancing from the ripe young age of three, she went on to train at Sylvia Young and The Link Art School of Drama. She has also attended numerous workshops in Contemporary Dance, Drama and Jazz at The Broadway Studio’s in New York.

Caroline’s professional production work experience has been quite varied from working in companies such as ‘Filmfair Animation’, ‘Visions Post Production’, to working as Production Assistant and Choreographer at the musical ‘Wild Hops’. In Germany she played ‘A Kit-Kat Girl’ in the musical ‘Cabaret’, and even played the part of ‘Rafael’ in a UK Tour of ‘The Ninja Turtles’. Furthermore, she has choreographed many Children’s videos, along with road show tours for Warner, Virgin and Disney.

Over the years Caroline has written and produced over 30 Stage One productions, with the most recent being ‘Aladdin’. Her dedication to the school, the students and to each and every project reflects in the standard of work produced.

“It is a joy to work with so many young people in class, rehearsals and performance. I am truly honoured and proud of all the hard work and determination I see in so many of the students. Their dedication and commitment is outstanding, and is reflected in the work we do at Stage One.”
